For scrape, screenshots and search, switch402 picks the cheapest healthy provider (from public health and price checks), pays it for you, fails over to another one on error when one is available, and returns one normalized result; map and metadata are fetched, and PDFs are converted to text, by switch402 itself. Screenshot and search settle only when an image or at least one result comes back; pdf only when text comes back (a scanned or password-protected PDF is not charged). - Site tool limits: map and metadata: public http(s) URLs on default ports only (no private, loopback, link-local or metadata addresses), at most 5 redirects, 8 s per fetch, 20 s total, 2 MB per page, 5 MB per sitemap, up to 4 sitemap files per call. - Screenshot, search and PDF limits: screenshot: public http(s) URLs on default ports only (same rules as map/metadata), PNG up to 8 MB. search: query 1-400 characters, limit 1-10 (default 10). pdf: same URL rules, the URL must return a PDF of at most 10 MB whose size the server declares (Content-Length or Content-Range; otherwise 422, not charged); up to 50 pages per call (pages like [1, 2] or "1-3,7"; default from page 1), text up to 500,000 characters (truncated: true when cut). - Disclosure: If no third-party provider is available, a request may fall back to a service we operate; the result says so (own_service: true). - Clients: Send your own User-Agent header (for example "my-agent/1.0"); some default library user-agents are blocked by the hosting edge. - Prepaid credits (optional). Buy a $5, $20 (+5% credit) or $50 (+10% credit) pack once with x402 and get an API key. Send it as `Authorization: Bearer `. Failed calls cost nothing. - Monthly plan, $10 for 30 days. During the period, lite pages bill at the plan rate: $10 covers 4,000 lite pages. You pay for pages you actually use. Nothing expires: leftover balance stays on your key and is debited at the normal endpoint prices after the period ends. - Lost a key?
